- Near Tortoise Isl., N. Eastern Taiwan. Trawled at 150-200 meters by commercial Taiwanese trawlers, July, 2019.
- Rare deep water species! Hardly ever offered, and when it is offered it is usually not the real thing. This specimen seems to me to be halfway between P. musumea and f. omii, dispaying characteristics of both. Really nice shell, appears live taken.
